TIE Becomes an Official Partner of the Small School District Association (SSDA)

Chris Bouman |

Technology In Education (TIE) is proud to announce its new partnership with the Small School District Association (SSDA), a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering educational leaders and ensuring the success of every student.

About SSDA

Since its founding in January 1983, the Small School District Association has served as the united voice for California’s smaller school districts—those with Average Daily Attendance (ADA) under 5,000 students. From just four founding districts, SSDA has grown to represent more than 350 member districts, covering over two-thirds of the state’s small districts.

With its vision of empowering educational leaders and its mission to unite and elevate small districts through legislative advocacy, professional development, and collaborative networks, SSDA has become a trusted partner in supporting educational success.

SSDA’s strength lies in ensuring that smaller districts have a strong presence in statewide legislative and regulatory processes, helping them save time, money, and resources, while also creating impactful outcomes for students. Their history shows the power of collective action: what began as four superintendents seeking a voice has grown into a statewide community of over 350 districts and 80 associate members.

Technology In Education’s Role

As a local company dedicated to advancing education through technology, TIE does more than simply sell products. Our team is committed to end-to-end support, including:

  • Installation of the latest educational technologies,

  • Training for teachers and administrators, and

  • Lifecycle support to ensure long-term success in schools.

At TIE, we emphasize engagement—helping educators and students not only adopt new tools but integrate them meaningfully into the classroom. From hands-on demonstrations with demo units to sustained support after implementation, our approach ensures schools maximize the value of their technology investments.

Why This Partnership Matters

By becoming an official SSDA partner, Technology In Education strengthens its mission to support small school districts across California. Together with SSDA, we aim to:

  • Advocate for equitable access to technology,

  • Provide cost-effective solutions tailored to smaller districts,

  • Enhance educator engagement with technology, and

  • Drive student success in diverse learning environments.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment: ensuring that every student—no matter the size of their district—has access to the tools and opportunities needed for success in today’s world.

Looking Ahead

We are excited to work alongside SSDA in building a brighter future for California’s small school districts. Through collaboration, advocacy, and a focus on engagement, Technology In Education looks forward to helping school leaders create lasting impact in their communities.
